Do and Don't

Similar to Thailand, it is impolite to point your feet at anyone, or touch them on the head. Keep clothing modest. Showing too much skin (especially for women) is considered very offensive as are public displays of affection.

Remove your shoes if you enter someone's house or a temple and keep your voice low in places of worship. If you smile and employ common courtesy, things will generally go better.
